Product Description The Counterforms 2-In-1 Appliance with Oster Fusion Technology BVLB07-L handles the functions of two machines. It mixes liquids like a blender while also performing many common food-processor tasks, such as chopping and pureeing fruits and vegetables. The BVLB07-Z consists of a sturdy base containing a 600-watt motor, a stainless-steel 6-point Star Blade, a large 48-ounce (6-cup) glass blending jar, and a lid with food chute. When fully assembled, it stands 15-1/2-inches tall and has a 7x9-inch oval footprint. The front control panel contains nine push-button switches that provide a full range of blending and processing options. Two preprogrammed settings (Frozen Drink and Food Chop) run specially timed cycles. The remaining buttons (On/Off, Low, Medium, High, Low Pulse and High Pulse) offer more traditional blending options, and a Stop button performs as you might expect.

Great Product July 9, 2010 JRA Like every thing about it. It is a far superior product to any we have had before. We also like the fact that it is much quieter than any we had previously. Only slight negative is that the glass container does not lock into the base, and while that's not been a problem yet it does give one a slight feeling of insecurity.
Air Pocket Problem April 17, 2010 Bee Pollen (TX USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My older blender is about 10 - 15 year old Oster 12 speed that does an adequate job, but I wanted to upgrade, given my growing love of doing frozen fruit smoothies in the summer. So I bought this upgraded Oster at Sam's for about $55. I didn't like the way it looked at first, but I got used to it after seeing it on my countertop for a week. I tested it by chopping a few ice cubes (it did a great job of that - became like snow), and blending a milky liquid (it did a great job of that in seconds). BUT when it came to making very thick smoothies with frozen fruit, it was horrible. I tried it with frozen bananas, chopped up into small pieces, mixed with milk, and then with frozen strawberry slices mixed with milk, In both cases it immediately created an ice pocket, slapping the thick sludge against the sides of the beaker, where it remained, while the blades whirred around and around with nothing but air around them. I repeatedly took off the top and pushed the smoothie mix down around the blades, but the blades would just immediately create the air pocket again. I tried all the settings (low, high, pulse, frozen dessert auto setting with the backward motion, etc.), but nothing helped. The blender was just worthless for making thick smoothies.
I had to return it. It just didn't do what I needed it to do. I don't know if it's the design of the blades, or it's just too powerful of a motor that causes the air pocket. Air pockets occurred occasionally in my old blender, but not that often, and when I pushed the smoothie down around the blades, that would fix the problem in my old blender.
Maybe if someone blends liquids, it's okay (liquid won't stick to the beaker sides), or thin smoothies that are liquid-y. But for thick smoothies that are like soft ice cream, this blender didn't work at all for me. BTW, when others say it's loud, believe them. I didn't think that would bother me, but it was extremely loud so that it was a jolt to my senses when I turned it on. I could've lived with it, if it had been a good blender. But just sayin', as someone who is not sensitive to loud noises, this blender is LOUD.
Blender is good, the bottom broke April 8, 2010 spark (Wood-ridge, NJ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought the blender as an alternative options for Indian mixies to make South Indian cuisine. We got a BVLB07-L from the seller. It worked as expected for a week. We had hardly tried out the blender for our needs.
But for no reason, the jar bottom cracked in a week. I was so disappointed with Oster's make, but a review for the bottom pointed that it is a common problem and I need to order a different one. I have ordered it on Amazon and am hoping it will make this blender work. Otherwise, I need to return this blender.
Wife Loves It! March 23, 2010 Todd C. Thomas I bought this to replace a Kenmore Elite blender that the electronics died after a year. We use it on a daily basis and this new one does everything it's suppose to with ease. My wife loves it! Good purchase ;)
Works awesome. March 6, 2010 J. Perez I didn't spend $92 when I bought (paid much less), but it's great. It cuts through ice instantly. Dencent noise level.
